- What is a vibratory feeder?
A vibratory feeder consists of a parts-orienting bowl mounted on a vibrating drive unit
with a variable- amplitude controller. The drive unit vibrates the bowl causing parts in
the bowl to move up a circular, inclined track which has been tooled to sort and orient
the parts in accordance with a customer's requirements.
- Why should you use vibratory feeders?
Hand selecting and/or inspecting is tedious and labor intensive, and can subject workers
to repetitive motion injuries.
Vibratory feeders offer an efficient, safe and cost effective way to orient and select
parts of any operations that requires a continuous supply of oriented components:
assembly, inspection, printing, machining, and packaging.
- Can vibratory feeders be integrated with other parts handling
equipment?
Vibratory Feeders, Inc. offers auxiliary equipment such as supply hoppers, gravity and
power tracks, positioning devices, system controls, floor stands, tables, and sound
enclosures, and we will help you with your systems integration.
- How can vibratory feeders help you compete ?
For American manufacturers to be competitive with countries having lower labor costs, they
must lower the labor content of their products.
An excellent way to do this is to install vibratory feeding systems where parts are now
being hand loaded. Doing this will enable one operator to oversee a number of automated
machines rather than hand loading one machine.
- Are there any other reasons for using vibratory feeders?
Yes, and one of the biggest is the bottom line. Not only will using vibratory feeders
increase your profits but it will most likely result in a better product, giving you a
great competitive advantage.
- How can you determine if Vibratory Feeders, Inc. can help you?
Call our engineering representative who will observe and discuss you parts feeding needs
with you, or simply fill out a Request For Quote form and send it
to us with at least two representative parts. We will furnish you with a quotation
promptly.
